Residenza Caianello 13 was created from the careful and respectful restoration of the historic Cascina Odazio, a building documented since 1843 in the Lombardy-Veneto land registry records.
Located in the heart of Dergano, the farmhouse was the residence of Cavaliere Emanuele Odazio – engineer, architect, and central figure of the Italian Risorgimento – protagonist of the Five Days of Milan of 1848.
Originally, the building was surrounded by a rural landscape dotted with mulberry fields mulberry trees, a key crop for silk production, an activity that characterized the entire Como area. Over time, the farmhouse was transformed into a typical Milanese tenement house , with balconies overlooking the inner courtyard: a true example of early 20th-century popular architecture.
Today, thanks to a restoration project that enhances its historical identity without sacrificing modern comforts, the Residenza Caianello 13 offers a welcoming environment, rich in character and perfect for those who want to enjoy an authentic experience in the historic fabric of Milan.
